Micah |
This page is in memory of Micah, a beloved purebred Arabian.
Micah: July 4, 1984 - September 24, 2008 Micah was by Waseem Kumal and out of Waseem Raffane by Raffon*. (See more pedigree information at the bottom of the page.)
Micah was a very sweet and extremely well-trained horse. He could walk across the farm into his pasture at feedings, and be led by only his mane. He knew many voice commands and tried very hard to please.
In his younger days, Micah was Nancy's endurance horse. He was also shown in dressage and equitation classes.
He was a true schoolmaster, teaching riders of all levels about horsemanship and equitation skills. He was one of the foundation horses for the Reinbow Therapeutic Riding Center, where he served for many years.
Micah helped Nancy teach many children how to ride. He was a great drill team horse, as well as trail and arena riding. His calm spirit and gentleness has helped countless numbers of people be able to both ride and handle horses.
Above: Nancy and Micah Micah's legacy will continue to live on the in the lives of those he taught to love horses, and in the many hearts he brought healing and grace to. He will be greatly missed, and never replaced -- but remembered often. MRA Micah's Pedigree
