Eligah, aka Jolly, has a new in Chattanooga TN! He belongs to a teenage girl who does hunter/jumpers with him and plans to show him in 2019 (not pictured - all pictures are of Dogwood Trace foreign exchange student Jenny) Jolly even participated in a Christmas parade in 2018 and did great!
Jolly's new owner and instructor love him and his movement
Eligah was sold to Sharon Bell in June, 2012 and moved to Nashville, TN
Sharon (pictured above) gave Eligah the nickname Jolly
Sharon rode dressage with Eli Eli loves the trails and is very calm and relaxed on them
Eli is a very athletic, talented horse with excellent movement - he has naturally uphill, floating gaits
Eli loves to jump and has great form - he is very careful with his legs and tucks his knees neatly
He does well jumping both in the arena and over outside natural (cross-country type) fences
Before leaving Dogwood Trace Trakehners, Eli was shown under saddle by Jenny twice
In the spring of 2012, Eli showed in the 2'6 division at a hunter/jumper show
The judge liked Eli and told Jenny she had a very nice horse
Eli placed in all his flat classes and working all his starting hunter courses with ease
In October, 2011 Eli showed training level at his first under saddle show and did very well, scoring in the 60s in all three of his classes
The judge's comments included that Eli was obedient, nicely forward and the pair had good geometry Since it was a Halloween show some of his classes were in costume (above and below: Eli's "fairy" costume)
Eli settles in well to the show barn, even when he is the only horse stalled overnight, and he is a perfect gentleman to the other horses at shows
He has good conformation with a lovely head and kind eye Eli comes into a frame nicely and naturally carries himself well
He demonstrates excellent collection, extension, lengthening of his gaits.
Eli knows his leads and does flying changes He preforms leg yields and turns on the forehand
He combines the movement and strength of his sire with the intelligence and elegance of his dam. He had a very successful show career as a yearling.
He won six first places and four second places in the "A rated" Rush Management Series for "Best Young Horse".
He was Reserve Champion Hunter Young Horse four times and Grand Champion once.

Eligah's Pedigree
Eligah is a phonetic spelling of the Biblical name Elijah, which means "My God is Yahweh." ~ "At the time of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: 'LORD... let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command. ...LORD, answer me, so these people will know that you, LORD, are God...' Then the fire of the LORD fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench. When all the people saw this, they fell prostrate and cried, 'The LORD—he is God! The LORD—he is God!'" - 1 Kings 18:36-39"
