Ephinia is a 2008 registered Trakehner mare

Ephinia is by Oskar II *Pg*, an approved stallion with Russian Trakehner bloodlines, and out of Ellie (by Polarpunkt), a German Trakehner. (See Ephinia's full pedigree farther down the page.)

Ephinia is a very talented horse who was described as international caliber by Trakehner Verband Breed Director Lars Gehrmann

 She is a very well put together horse with great conformation and a lovely head

Ephinia has excellent uphill, floating gaits with a lot of suspension

She is very intelligent and sensitive to her rider/handler and really wants to please

Ephinia was started under saddle by an amateur in the spring of 2012

 She learns quickly and is very good under saddle

Ephinia was shown at the 2009 American Trakehner Convention and was very successful

She won first place in her class (Fillies of 2008) with a score of 81.5, and was also Grand Champion Mare/Filly!

The judge was Lars Gehrmann, Breed Director of the Trakehner Verband 

Lars Gehrmann was very impressed with Ephinia and described her as very balanced and harmonious

Ephinia's father, Oskar II *Pg* competed very successfully in dressage

She bears a strong resemblance to her mother in looks, and has the nice, floating gaits of both her parents
